About the Southern Highlands
Located less than 2 hours from both Sydney and Canberra, and only 1 hour from Wollongong or the South Coast, the Southern Highlands is the perfect weekend escape for anyone looking to get away and unwind from the hustle and bustle of big city life.
The Southern Highlands attracts well over a million visitors each year who not only come to enjoy the lifestyle the Southern Highlands offers, but to also enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Highlands. From the breath-taking scenery of the countryside, to the boutique stores and luxury resorts, you can find yourselves miles away from the burdens of modern living, unwinding to the sounds of silence.
About Moss Vale
With its winding tree-lined main street the country village atmosphere of this town lives on and today Moss Vale is one of the prime rural centres in New South Wales for sheep, cattle, goats and horses. Visitors to this town will enjoy strolling the streets where an abundance of antique shops, art galleries and specialty stores can be found. The opening of the Moss Vale Railway Station made Moss Vale accessible to visitors. Today, tourists can take the opportunity of special visits by Steam Train from Sydney and also from the coast on the now famous Cockatoo Run.
